My almost interview and how fate conspired to towart me.:
12:25 a.m. 2006-07-06

I was suppose to go to an interview today but circumstances conspired against me. Here is how it went down.

I was almost ready to go to my interview and I had 45 minutes until my scheduled interview and was just finishing up putting me resumes togather and shortly after planned on calling a taxi to depart for my interview as planned but I got a knock at the door.

For a minute I was excited I thought that it was a package carrier delivering the A+ training materials I had ordered before the long weekend. I will finally be able to prepare for taking the first of my A+ certification exams and putting myself at the end of the process to improve my likelihood of obtaining a good full time career. When I saw my tenant's kid at the door I thought what the hell does he want now.

It turned out that he had locked himself out and was hopeing that I had the key and for more than a half an hour I fooled around looking for the right key and I had two big rings and a lot of keys none of which worked. His mother did come however to let her son into their appartment but not until all my time was wasted.

I attempted to get a taxi to zip me to my interview but the taxi did not come quickly. Finally I had to admit to myself that I was not going to be able to make the interview and that I would do myself greater harm by getting there ultra late.

The interviewer thankfully was able to book me for another time of his choosing but it is convienient for me because I am not working that day so I can concentrate fully on the interview as I had today until landlord business got in the way. Damn landlord business!
